 John DiPietro, CTO

John DiPietro is the Chief Technology Officer for a2c.  Mr. DiPietro is responsible for setting vision, strategy, delivery and methodologies for a2c’s Solution Practice Offerings for all national accounts. 


The a2c CTO brings with him an expansive depth and breadth of specialized skills in his field.  Mr. DiPietro possesses extensive expertise in both Enterprise Data Management and Application & Integration Technologies and has accrued over 30 years of experience in managing, designing and implementing both Enterprise and Global Level platforms to meet corporate initiatives and business goals.  He has demonstrated wide-ranging knowledge of all of the industry’s leading offerings including J2EE and Microsoft frameworks and is well  versed  in  the areas of  Data  Governance/MDM,  Data  Warehousing/

Business Intelligence, Predictive Analytics and Reporting, Portal/Web/Mobile Development, Service Oriented Architectures/ESB, Enterprise Application Integration, Business Process Management/ Workflow, Design/Delivery Methodologies, Configuration Management and Enterprise Infrastructures.


Recently the CTO has directed his focus to encompass current and vital Healthcare Industry issues such as transition from ICD-9 to ICD-10 coding, Healthcare Reform and Exchanges, Medicare, and Third-Party Administration. His expertise has been sought out for consultation in fields across the IT industry, and he regularly provides analytic insight for investment firms and research publications. In 2011, Mr. DiPietro was recognized by SmartCEO magazine as one of Philadelphia’s top CXO.


The a2c CTO is a strong advocate for the firm’s University Program, which provides a viable alternative to outsourcing employment. The University Program partners with University of Pennsylvania, Drexel University, Villanova University, and St. Joseph’s University to attract new talent from a pool of exceptional co-op and graduate students. This initiative not only moderates client expense but provides both students and clients with a mutually beneficial relationship which allows clients to retain intellectual property rights as well as to procure employment of program candidates without the complications of offshore hiring.


Prior to joining a2c, Mr. DiPietro was the Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President of Anexinet. As COO he was responsible for leading the sales and solutions organizations and for setting and implementing the overall vision and strategy for the technology practice areas via development of service offerings. Mr. DiPietro’s expertise played a critical role in propelling that firm’s growth over 300% from $8m to $28m between 2003 and 2006.


From 1998 through 2002, Mr. DiPietro was a Senior Consultant, then National Director of e-Business at award winning Alliance Consulting Group, where he first encountered fellow a2c executives Spitzer, King, Cassidy and Cattie. Alliance was recognized during his tenure as one of the Inc. 500 fastest growing companies for three consecutive years from ’99 to ‘01, ranking #3 in 1999 and #7 in 2000. As a National Director, his role was to initiate and implement strategies by performing architecture assessments, strategic roadmap development, applying technology and employing development methodologies. Mr. DiPietro was also responsible for managing all Vendor Partnerships of the e-Business practice including Alliance’s BEA 3-Star Partnership, Microsoft, Oracle and HP/Mercury Interactive. Previously he had served as Director of IT for Advent (GE affiliate) and served on GE’s Executive Software Advisory Board, where he regularly met with G.E. CEOs. Mr. DiPietro also served at PQ Corporation as an international technical advisor and designed and implemented automation for their global industrial installations including those in Thailand and Korea, and as a Systems Engineer with Unisys Consulting.


Mr. DiPietro graduated with Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering (Software Engineering focus) from Villanova University, and continued to obtain his Master of Science Degree in Computer Systems Architecture & Software Engineering at Penn State.
